¹⁶耶和華親臨（“耶和華親臨”直譯作“耶和華的面”）分散他們，不再看顧他們；

人不再尊重祭司，也不厚待長老。

¹⁷我們徒然等待幫助，等到雙目失去視力；

我們在瞭望臺上期望一個不能拯救我們的國家來臨。

¹⁸敵人追蹤我們，使我們不敢在自己的街道上行走。

我們的結局近了，我們的日子滿了；

我們的結局已經到了。

New International Version

¹⁶The Lord himself has scattered them;
he no longer watches over them.^(A)
The priests are shown no honor,
the elders^(B) no favor.^(C)

¹⁷Moreover, our eyes failed,
looking in vain^(D) for help;^(E)
from our towers we watched
for a nation^(F) that could not save us.

¹⁸People stalked us at every step,
so we could not walk in our streets.
Our end was near, our days were numbered,
for our end had come.^(G)

¹⁶The anger of the Lord hath divided them; he will no more regard them: they respected not the persons of the priests, they favoured not the elders.

¹⁷As for us, our eyes as yet failed for our vain help: in our watching we have watched for a nation that could not save us.

¹⁸They hunt our steps, that we cannot go in our streets: our end is near, our days are fulfilled; for our end is come.
