Lamentations 3:17-19

New International Version

¹⁷I have been deprived of peace;
I have forgotten what prosperity is.
¹⁸So I say, “My splendor is gone
and all that I had hoped from the Lord.”^(A)

¹⁹I remember my affliction and my wandering,
the bitterness^(B) and the gall.^(C)

¹⁷And thou hast removed my soul far off from peace: I forgat prosperity.

¹⁸And I said, My strength and my hope is perished from the Lord:

¹⁹Remembering mine affliction and my misery, the wormwood and the gall.

¹⁷Y mi alma se alejó de la paz, me olvidé del bien,

¹⁸Y dije: Perecieron mis fuerzas, y mi esperanza en Jehová.

¹⁹Acuérdate de mi aflicción y de mi abatimiento, del ajenjo y de la hiel;
