Lamentations 3:21-26
English Standard Version
21 But this I call to mind,
and (A)therefore I have hope:
22 (B)The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;[a]
(C)his mercies never come to an end;
23 they are new (D)every morning;
(E)great is your faithfulness.
24 (F)“The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,
(G)“therefore I will hope in him.”
25 The Lord is good to those who (H)wait for him,
to the soul who seeks him.
26 (I)It is good that one should wait quietly
for the salvation of the Lord.

Romans 5:5-11
English Standard Version
5 and (A)hope does not put us to shame, because God's love (B)has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
6 For (C)while we were still weak, at the right time (D)Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— 8 but (E)God shows his love for us in that (F)while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Since, therefore, (G)we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from (H)the wrath of God. 10 For if (I)while we were enemies (J)we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by (K)his life. 11 More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received (L)reconciliation.
