Lamentations 1:4-6
English Standard Version
4 The roads to Zion mourn,
for none come to (A)the festival;
(B)all her gates are desolate;
her priests (C)groan;
her virgins have been afflicted,[a]
and she herself suffers bitterly.
5 (D)Her foes have become the head;
her (E)enemies prosper,
because (F)the Lord has afflicted her
(G)for the multitude of her transgressions;
(H)her children have gone away,
captives before the foe.
6 From the daughter of Zion
all her majesty has departed.
Her princes have become like deer
(I)that find no pasture;
they fled without strength
before the pursuer.

Lamentations 1:4-6
New American Standard Bible
4 The roads [a]of Zion are in mourning
Because (A)no one comes to an appointed feast.
All her gates are (B)deserted;
Her priests groan,
Her (C)virgins are worried,
And as for Zion herself, it is (D)bitter for her.
5 Her adversaries have become [b]her masters,
Her enemies are [c]secure;
For the Lord has [d](E)caused her grief
Because of the multitude of her wrongdoings;
Her little ones have gone away
As captives [e]led by the enemy.
6 All of her (F)splendor
Is gone from the daughter of Zion;
Her leaders have become like deer
That have found no pasture,
And they have [f](G)fled without strength
[g]From the pursuer.

King James Version
4 The ways of Zion do mourn, because none come to the solemn feasts: all her gates are desolate: her priests sigh, her virgins are afflicted, and she is in bitterness.
5 Her adversaries are the chief, her enemies prosper; for the Lord hath afflicted her for the multitude of her transgressions: her children are gone into captivity before the enemy.
6 And from the daughter of Zion all her beauty is departed: her princes are become like harts that find no pasture, and they are gone without strength before the pursuer.
