Lamentations 1:2-4
New American Standard Bible
2 She (A)weeps bitterly in the night,
And her tears are on her cheeks;
She has no one to comfort her
Among all her (B)lovers.
All her friends have (C)dealt treacherously with her;
They have become her enemies.
3 (D)Judah has gone into exile out of affliction
And [a]harsh servitude;
She lives (E)among the nations,
But she has not found a resting place;
All those who (F)pursued her have overtaken her
In the midst of [b]distress.
4 The roads [c]of Zion are in mourning
Because (G)no one comes to an appointed feast.
All her gates are (H)deserted;
Her priests groan,
Her (I)virgins are worried,
And as for Zion herself, it is (J)bitter for her.
