Lamentations 4:5-7
New American Standard Bible 1995
5 Those who ate (A)delicacies
Are desolate in the streets;
Those [a]reared in purple
Embrace ash pits.
6 For the [b]iniquity of the daughter of my people
Is greater than the [c](B)sin of Sodom,
Which was (C)overthrown as in a moment,
And no hands were [d]turned toward her.
7 Her [e]consecrated ones were (D)purer than snow,
They were whiter than milk;
They were more ruddy in [f]body than corals,
Their polishing was like [g](E)lapis lazuli.

their appearance like lapis lazuli.
