    pain and anguish will grip^(B) them;
    they will writhe like a woman in labor.^(C)
They will look aghast at each other,
    their faces aflame.^(D)

“Look! An eagle is swooping^(A) down,
    spreading its wings^(B) over Moab.
⁴¹ Kerioth^[a](C) will be captured
    and the strongholds taken.
In that day the hearts of Moab’s warriors^(D)
    will be like the heart of a woman in labor.^(E)
