13 Gedeón dijo:

—Perdón, señor, pero si el SEÑOR está con nosotros, entonces ¿por qué tenemos tantos problemas? Sabemos que él hizo milagros en favor de nuestros antepasados. Ellos contaron que el SEÑOR los sacó de Egipto, pero el SEÑOR nos ha abandonado y ha permitido que los madianitas nos opriman.

14 El SEÑOR miró a Gedeón y le dijo:

—Usa tu fuerza y libera al pueblo de Israel del poder de los madianitas ¡Yo te envío a que los salves!

15 Y Gedeón respondió:

—Perdón, señor, pero ¿cómo puedo salvar a Israel? Mi familia es la más débil de todas las familias de Manasés, y yo soy el más joven de todos.

13 “Pardon me, my lord,” Gideon replied, “but if the Lord is with us, why has all this happened to us? Where are all his wonders(A) that our ancestors told(B) us about when they said, ‘Did not the Lord bring us up out of Egypt?’ But now the Lord has abandoned(C) us and given us into the hand of Midian.”

14 The Lord turned to him and said, “Go in the strength you have(D) and save(E) Israel out of Midian’s hand. Am I not sending you?”

15 “Pardon me, my lord,” Gideon replied, “but how can I save Israel? My clan(F) is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my family.(G)

13 And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the Lord be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the Lord bring us up from Egypt? but now the Lord hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.

14 And the Lord looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee?

15 And he said unto him, Oh my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? behold, my family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father's house.
