12 Dejaron al Señor, el Dios de sus antepasados que los había sacado de Egipto, y se entregaron a adorar a los dioses de la gente que vivía alrededor, provocando así el enojo del Señor. 13 Dejaron al Señor por adorar a Baal y a las diferentes representaciones de Astarté, 14 y por eso el Señor se enojó contra Israel e hizo que los ladrones los despojaran de lo que tenían, y que sus enemigos de los alrededores los derrotaran sin que ellos pudieran hacerles frente.

12 and they (A)forsook the Lord God of their fathers, who had brought them out of the land of Egypt; and they followed (B)other gods from among the gods of the people who were all around them, and they (C)bowed down to them; and they provoked the Lord to anger. 13 They forsook the Lord (D)and served [a]Baal and the [b]Ashtoreths. 14 (E)And the anger of the Lord was hot against Israel. So He (F)delivered them into the hands of plunderers who despoiled them; and (G)He sold them into the hands of their enemies all around, so that they (H)could no longer stand before their enemies.
