2 Cuando regresó[a], se lo contó a su padre y a su madre, diciendo: Vi en Timnat a una mujer de las hijas de los filisteos; ahora pues, tomádmela por mujer. 3 Le respondieron[b] su padre y su madre: ¿No hay mujer entre las hijas de tus parientes[c] o entre todo nuestro[d] pueblo, para que vayas a tomar mujer de los filisteos incircuncisos(A)? Pero Sansón dijo a su padre: Tómala para mí, porque ella me agrada[e]. 4 Y su padre y su madre no sabían que esto era del Señor, porque Él buscaba ocasión contra los filisteos(B), pues en aquel tiempo los filisteos dominaban a Israel.

2 Y subió, y lo declaró a su padre y a su madre, diciendo: Yo he visto en Timnat una mujer de las hijas de los filisteos; os ruego que me la toméis por mujer. 3 Y su padre y su madre le dijeron: ¿No hay mujer entre las hijas de tus hermanos, ni en todo nuestro pueblo, para que vayas tú a tomar mujer de los filisteos incircuncisos? Y Sansón respondió a su padre: Tómame esta por mujer, porque ella me agrada.
4 Mas su padre y su madre no sabían que esto venía de Jehová, porque él buscaba ocasión contra los filisteos; pues en aquel tiempo los filisteos dominaban sobre Israel.

2 When he returned, he said to his father and mother, “I have seen a Philistine woman in Timnah; now get her for me as my wife.”(A)
3 His father and mother replied, “Isn’t there an acceptable woman among your relatives or among all our people?(B) Must you go to the uncircumcised(C) Philistines to get a wife?(D)”
But Samson said to his father, “Get her for me. She’s the right one for me.” 4 (His parents did not know that this was from the Lord,(E) who was seeking an occasion to confront the Philistines;(F) for at that time they were ruling over Israel.)(G)
