Judges 19:15-17
New International Version
15 There they stopped to spend the night.(A) They went and sat in the city square,(B) but no one took them in for the night.
16 That evening(C) an old man from the hill country of Ephraim,(D) who was living in Gibeah (the inhabitants of the place were Benjamites), came in from his work in the fields. 17 When he looked and saw the traveler in the city square, the old man asked, “Where are you going? Where did you come from?”(E)

15 and they turned aside there, to go in and spend the night at Gibeah. And he went in and sat down in the open square of the city, (A)for no one took them into his house to spend the night.
16 And behold, an old man was coming from his work in the field at evening. The man was from (B)the hill country of Ephraim, and he was sojourning in Gibeah. (C)The men of the place were Benjaminites. 17 And he lifted up his eyes and saw the traveler in the open square of the city. And the old man said, “Where are you going? And where do you come from?”
