9-10 “Let's go!” the five men said. “We saw some very good land with enough room for all of us, and it has everything we will ever need. What are you waiting for? Let's attack and take it. You'll find that the people think they're safe, but God is giving the land to us.”

11 Six hundred men from the tribe of Dan strapped on their weapons and left Zorah and Eshtaol with their families.[a] 12 One night they camped near Kiriath-Jearim in the territory of Judah, and that's why the place just west of Kiriath-Jearim is still known as Dan's Camp.[b]

10 When you get there, you will find an unsuspecting people and a spacious land that God has put into your hands, a land that lacks nothing(A) whatever.(B)

11 Then six hundred men(C) of the Danites,(D) armed for battle, set out from Zorah and Eshtaol. 12 On their way they set up camp near Kiriath Jearim(E) in Judah. This is why the place west of Kiriath Jearim is called Mahaneh Dan[a](F) to this day.
