9 Now Abimelech the son of Jerubbaal went to Shechem to ^(A)his mother's relatives and said to them and to the whole clan of his mother's family,

New International Version

9 Abimelek^(A) son of Jerub-Baal^(B) went to his mother’s brothers in Shechem and said to them and to all his mother’s clan,

³¹And his concubine ^(A)who was in Shechem also bore him a son, and he called his name Abimelech.

³¹His concubine,^(A) who lived in Shechem, also bore him a son, whom he named Abimelek.^(B)
