^4 (A)Then Yahweh said to Gideon, “The people are still too many; bring them down to the water, and I will test them for you there. And it will be that he of whom I say to you, ‘This one shall go with you,’ he shall go with you; but everyone of whom I say to you, ‘This one shall not go with you,’ he shall not go.”

⁷ And Yahweh said to Gideon, “I will save you ^(A)with the 300 men who lapped and will give the Midianites into your hands; so let all the other people go, each man to his place.”

⁴⁶ This day Yahweh will deliver you up into my hands, and I will strike you down and remove your head from you. And I will give the ^(A)dead bodies of the camp of the Philistines this day to the birds of the sky and the beasts of the earth, ^(B)that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel, ⁴⁷ and that all this assembly may know that ^(C)Yahweh does not save by sword or by spear; ^(D)for the battle is Yahweh’s, and He will give you into our hands.”

⁶ Then he answered and spoke to me, saying, “This is the word of Yahweh to ^(A)Zerubbabel, saying, ‘^(B)Not by ^[a]might nor by power, but by My ^(C)Spirit,’ says Yahweh of hosts.

²⁶ And looking at them Jesus said to them, “^(A)With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
