Yahweh Raises Up Othniel

⁷ Thus the sons of Israel did ^(A)what was evil in the eyes of Yahweh and ^(B)forgot Yahweh their God and ^(C)served the Baals and the ^[a]Asheroth.

³³ Then it happened, as soon as Gideon was dead, ^(A)that the sons of Israel turned back and played the harlot with the Baals and made ^(B)Baal-berith their god. ³⁴ Thus the sons of Israel ^(C)did not remember Yahweh their God, who had delivered them from the hands of all their enemies on every side;
