A Battle Between Israel and Benjamin

20 Then all the sons of Israel from Dan to Beersheba, including the land of Gilead, came out, and the congregation assembled as one man to Yahweh at ^(A)Mizpah.

A Tribe Is Cut Off

21 Now the men of Israel ^(A)had sworn in Mizpah, saying, “None of us shall give his daughter to Benjamin as a wife.”

⁵ Then Samuel said, “Gather all Israel to ^(A)Mizpah, and ^(B)I will pray to Yahweh for you.”

⁶ Then King Asa brought all Judah, and they carried away the stones of Ramah and its timber with which Baasha had been building, and with them he built Geba and Mizpah.
