Judges 2:12-14
New American Standard Bible
12 and (A)they abandoned the Lord, the God of their fathers, who had brought them out of the land of Egypt, and they followed other gods from the gods of the peoples who were around them, and bowed down to them; so they provoked the Lord to anger. 13 They abandoned the Lord and (B)served Baal and the Ashtaroth. 14 (C)Then the anger of the Lord burned against Israel, and He handed them over to plunderers, and they plundered them; and (D)He sold them into the hands of their enemies around them, so that they could no longer stand [a]against their enemies.

12 They forsook the Lord, the God of their ancestors, who had brought them out of Egypt. They followed and worshiped various gods(A) of the peoples around them.(B) They aroused(C) the Lord’s anger(D) 13 because they forsook(E) him and served Baal and the Ashtoreths.(F) 14 In his anger(G) against Israel the Lord gave them into the hands(H) of raiders who plundered(I) them. He sold them(J) into the hands of their enemies all around, whom they were no longer able to resist.(K)
