11 They were near Jebus, and the day was far spent; and the servant said to his master, “Come, please, and let us turn aside into this city (A)of the Jebusites and lodge in it.”

12 But his master said to him, “We will not turn aside here into a city of foreigners, who are not of the children of Israel; we will go on (B)to Gibeah.” 13 So he said to his servant, “Come, let us draw near to one of these places, and spend the night in Gibeah or in (C)Ramah.” 14 And they passed by and went their way; and the sun went down on them near Gibeah, which belongs to Benjamin. 15 They turned aside there to go in to lodge in Gibeah. And when he went in, he sat down in the open square of the city, for no one would (D)take them into his house to spend the night.

12 His master replied, “No. We won’t go into any city whose people are not Israelites. We will go on to Gibeah.” 13 He added, “Come, let’s try to reach Gibeah or Ramah(B) and spend the night in one of those places.” 14 So they went on, and the sun set as they neared Gibeah in Benjamin.(C) 15 There they stopped to spend the night.(D) They went and sat in the city square,(E) but no one took them in for the night.
