Judges 11:34-36

34 When Jephthah came to his house at (A)Mizpah, behold, his daughter was coming out to meet him (B)with tambourines and with dancing. Now she was his one and only child; besides her he had no son or daughter. 35 When he saw her, he tore his clothes and said, “Alas, my daughter! You have brought me very low, and you are among those who trouble me; for I have [a]given my word to the Lord, and (C)I cannot take it back.” 36 So she said to him, “My father, you have [b]given your word to the Lord; (D)do to me [c]as you have said, since the Lord has avenged you of your enemies, the sons of Ammon.”

34 When Jephthah returned to his home in Mizpah, who should come out to meet him but his daughter, dancing(A) to the sound of timbrels!(B) She was an only child.(C) Except for her he had neither son nor daughter. 35 When he saw her, he tore his clothes(D) and cried, “Oh no, my daughter! You have brought me down and I am devastated. I have made a vow to the Lord that I cannot break.(E)”
36 “My father,” she replied, “you have given your word to the Lord. Do to me just as you promised,(F) now that the Lord has avenged you(G) of your enemies,(H) the Ammonites.
