Israel Forsakes Yahweh Again

⁶ Then the sons of Israel again did what was evil in the eyes of Yahweh and ^(A)served the Baals and the Ashtaroth, the gods of Aram, the gods of Sidon, the gods of Moab, ^(B)the gods of the sons of Ammon, and the gods of the Philistines; thus ^(C)they forsook Yahweh and did not serve Him.

¹⁸ And he said, “I have not troubled Israel, but you and your father’s house have, because ^(A)you have forsaken the commandments of Yahweh and ^(B)you have followed the Baals.

¹⁰ And he said, “^(A)I have been very zealous for Yahweh, the God of hosts; for the sons of Israel have forsaken Your covenant, ^(B)pulled down Your altars and killed Your prophets with the sword. And ^(C)I alone am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.”
