⁹ So he said to the men of Peniel, “When I return in triumph, I will tear down this tower.”^(A)

²⁷ and say, ‘This is what the king says: Put this fellow in prison^(A) and give him nothing but bread and water until I return safely.’”

²⁸ Micaiah declared, “If you ever return safely, the Lord has not spoken^(B) through me.” Then he added, “Mark my words, all you people!”

¹⁷ He also pulled down the tower of Peniel^(A) and killed the men of the town.^(B)
