²⁵ And they captured ^(A)two princes of the Midianites, ^(B)Oreb and Zeeb. They killed Oreb at the rock of Oreb, and Zeeb they killed at the winepress of Zeeb. They pursued Midian and brought the heads of Oreb and Zeeb to Gideon on the ^(C)other side of the Jordan.

²⁶ And the Lord of hosts will ^[a]stir up ^(A)a scourge for him like the slaughter of ^(B)Midian at the rock of Oreb; ^(C)as His rod was on the sea, so will He lift it up in the manner of Egypt.

^3 (A)God has delivered into your hands the princes of Midian, Oreb and Zeeb. And what was I able to do in comparison with you?” Then their ^(B)anger toward him subsided when he said that.

⁴ When Gideon came ^(C)to the Jordan, he and ^(D)the three hundred men who were with him crossed over, exhausted but still in pursuit.

²⁶ Then they ^(A)raised over him a great heap of stones, still there to this day. So ^(B)the Lord turned from the fierceness of His anger. Therefore the name of that place has been called ^(C)the Valley of ^[a]Achor to this day.
