³² Their camels^(A) will become plunder,
    and their large herds^(B) will be spoils of war.
I will scatter to the winds^(C) those who are in distant places^[a](D)
    and will bring disaster on them from every side,”
declares the Lord.

²⁹ Their tents and their flocks^(A) will be taken;
    their shelters will be carried off
    with all their goods and camels.
People will shout to them,
    ‘Terror^(B) on every side!’

²³ They will chop down her forest,”
declares the Lord,
    “dense though it be.
They are more numerous than locusts,^(A)
    they cannot be counted.

⁶ Herds of camels^(A) will cover your land,
    young camels of Midian^(B) and Ephah.^(C)
And all from Sheba^(D) will come,
    bearing gold and incense^(E)
    and proclaiming the praise^(F) of the Lord.

²⁰ She will never be inhabited^(A)
    or lived in through all generations;
there no nomads^(B) will pitch their tents,
    there no shepherds will rest their flocks.

⁵ With one mind they plot together;^(D)
    they form an alliance against you—
⁶ the tents of Edom^(E) and the Ishmaelites,
    of Moab^(F) and the Hagrites,^(G)
7 Byblos,^(H) Ammon^(I) and Amalek,^(J)
    Philistia,^(K) with the people of Tyre.^(L)
8 Even Assyria^(M) has joined them
    to reinforce Lot’s descendants.^[a](N)

⁹ Do to them as you did to Midian,^(O)
    as you did to Sisera^(P) and Jabin^(Q) at the river Kishon,^(R)
10 who perished at Endor^(S)
    and became like dung^(T) on the ground.
¹¹ Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb,^(U)
    all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,^(V)
12 who said, “Let us take possession^(W)
    of the pasturelands of God.”
