³⁴ But ^(A)the Spirit of the Lord came upon Gideon; then he ^(B)blew the trumpet, and the Abiezrites gathered behind him.

²⁰ Then the Spirit of God ^[a]came upon ^(A)Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest, who stood above the people, and said to them, “Thus says God: ^(B)‘Why do you transgress the commandments of the Lord, so that you cannot prosper? ^(C)Because you have forsaken the Lord, He also has forsaken you.’ ”

¹⁸ Then the Spirit ^[a]came upon ^(A)Amasai, chief of the captains, and he said:

So David received them, and made them captains of the troop.

²⁷ And it happened, when he arrived, that ^(A)he blew the trumpet in the ^(B)mountains of Ephraim, and the children of Israel went down with him from the mountains; and ^[a]he led them.

^10 (A)The Spirit of the Lord came upon him, and he judged Israel. He went out to war, and the Lord delivered Cushan-Rishathaim king of Mesopotamia into his hand; and his hand prevailed over Cushan-Rishathaim.

¹⁴ But ^(A)put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and ^(B)make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.

²⁷ For ^(A)as many of you as were baptized into Christ ^(B)have put on Christ.

⁸ for to one is given ^(A)the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another ^(B)the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, ^9 (C)to another faith by the same Spirit, to another ^(D)gifts of healings by ^[a]the same Spirit, ^10 (E)to another the working of miracles, to another ^(F)prophecy, to another ^(G)discerning of spirits, to another ^(H)different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. ¹¹ But one and the same Spirit works all these things, ^(I)distributing to each one individually ^(J)as He wills.
