    and never again ^(B)be favorable?
⁸ Has his steadfast love forever ceased?
    Are his ^(C)promises at an end for all time?
^9 (D)Has God forgotten to be gracious?
    ^(E)Has he in anger shut up his compassion?” Selah

59 Behold, ^(A)the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save,
    or his ear dull, that it cannot hear;
^2 (B)but your iniquities have made a separation
    between you and your God,
and your sins have hidden his face from you
    so that he does not hear.

³ things that we have heard and known,
    that our ^(A)fathers have told us.
⁴ We will not ^(B)hide them from their children,
    but ^(C)tell to the coming generation
the glorious deeds of the Lord, and his might,
    and ^(D)the wonders that he has done.

44 O God, we have heard with our ears,
    ^(B)our fathers have told us,
what deeds you performed in their days,
    ^(C)in the days of old:

^15 (A)Look down from heaven and see,
    ^(B)from your holy and beautiful^[a] habitation.
Where are ^(C)your zeal and your might?
    The stirring of your inner parts and your compassion
    are held back from me.
