¹⁰ Also I said to you, “I am the Lord your God; ^(A)do not fear the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell.” But you have not obeyed My ^(B)voice.’ ”

² Thus says the Lord:

³⁵ with whom the Lord had made a covenant and charged them, saying: ^(A)“You shall not fear other gods, nor ^(B)bow down to them nor serve them nor sacrifice to them; ³⁶ but the Lord, who ^(C)brought you up from the land of Egypt with great power and ^(D)an outstretched arm, ^(E)Him you shall fear, Him you shall worship, and to Him you shall offer sacrifice. ³⁷ And the statutes, the ordinances, the law, and the commandment which He wrote for you, ^(F)you shall be careful to observe forever; you shall not fear other gods. ³⁸ And the covenant that I have made with you, ^(G)you shall not forget, nor shall you fear other gods. ³⁹ But the Lord your God you shall fear; and He will deliver you from the hand of all your enemies.”

⁹ And ^(A)having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him,

¹⁶ But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, ^(A)“Lord, who has believed our report?”

^7 (A)So they went to the land of Egypt, for they did not obey the voice of the Lord. And they went as far as ^(B)Tahpanhes.

⁴ So Johanan the son of Kareah, all the captains of the forces, and all the people would ^(A)not obey the voice of the Lord, to remain in the land of Judah.

²¹ And I have this day declared it to you, but you have ^(A)not obeyed the voice of the Lord your God, or anything which He has sent you by me.

¹³ And the Lord said, “Because they have forsaken My law which I set before them, and have ^(A)not obeyed My voice, nor walked according to it,
