¹³ For ^(A)judgment is without mercy to one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.

God's Judgment and the Law

¹² For all who have sinned ^(A)without the law will also perish without the law, and all who have sinned under the law will be judged by the law.

⁸ And the Lord gave them into the hand of Israel, who struck them and chased them as far as ^(A)Great Sidon and ^(B)Misrephoth-maim, and eastward as far as the Valley of ^(C)Mizpeh. And they struck them until he left none remaining.

¹⁹ but do not stay there yourselves. Pursue your enemies; ^(A)attack their rear guard. Do not let them enter their cities, for the Lord your God has given them into your hand.” ²⁰ When Joshua and the sons of Israel had finished striking them with a great blow ^(B)until they were wiped out, and when the remnant that remained of them had entered into the fortified cities,

⁷ You shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword. ^8 (A)Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall chase ten thousand, and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword.
