¹⁵ And the Lord routed Sisera and all his chariots and all his army with the edge of the sword before Barak; and Sisera alighted from his chariot and fled away on foot.

¹⁰ So the Lord ^(A)routed them before Israel, killed them with a great slaughter at Gibeon, chased them along the road that goes ^(B)to Beth Horon, and struck them down as far as ^(C)Azekah and Makkedah.

³² And what more shall I say? For the time would fail me to tell of ^(A)Gideon and ^(B)Barak and ^(C)Samson and ^(D)Jephthah, also of ^(E)David and ^(F)Samuel and the prophets:

¹⁵ Then the men of Judah gave a shout; and as the men of Judah shouted, it happened that God ^(A)struck Jeroboam and all Israel before Abijah and Judah. ¹⁶ And the children of Israel fled before Judah, and God delivered them into their hand. ¹⁷ Then Abijah and his people struck them with a great slaughter; so five hundred thousand choice men of Israel fell slain.

⁶ For the Lord had caused the army of the Syrians ^(A)to hear the noise of chariots and the noise of horses—the noise of a great army; so they said to one another, “Look, the king of Israel has hired against us ^(B)the kings of the Hittites and the kings of the Egyptians to attack us!”
