¹² On their way they set up camp near Kiriath Jearim^(A) in Judah. This is why the place west of Kiriath Jearim is called Mahaneh Dan^[a](B) to this day.

²⁵ and the Spirit of the Lord began to stir^(A) him while he was in Mahaneh Dan,^(B) between Zorah and Eshtaol.

⁴ Now David had brought up the ark^(A) of God from Kiriath Jearim to the place he had prepared for it, because he had pitched a tent^(B) for it in Jerusalem.

⁵ So David assembled all Israel,^(A) from the Shihor River^(B) in Egypt to Lebo Hamath,^(C) to bring the ark of God from Kiriath Jearim.^{(D) 6} David and all Israel went to Baalah^(E) of Judah (Kiriath Jearim) to bring up from there the ark of God the Lord, who is enthroned between the cherubim^(F)—the ark that is called by the Name.

7 ¹ So the men of Kiriath Jearim came and took up the ark^(A) of the Lord. They brought it to Abinadab’s^(B) house on the hill and consecrated Eleazar his son to guard the ark of the Lord.
