¹⁶ And it came to pass, when she pestered him daily with her words and pressed him, so that his soul was ^[a]vexed to death,

^5 (A)yet because this widow troubles me I will ^[a]avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.’ ”

⁸ I say to you, ^(A)though he will not rise and give to him because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence he will rise and give him as many as he needs.
