¹¹ When the people saw him, they brought thirty companions to be with him.

²⁹ He who has the bride is the bridegroom. The friend of the bridegroom who stands and hears him rejoices greatly at the bridegroom’s voice. For this reason my joy has been fulfilled.^(A)

¹⁵ And Jesus said to them, “The wedding attendants cannot mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them, can they? The days will come when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and then they will fast.^(A)

⁶ When they came, he looked on Eliab and thought, “Surely his anointed is now before the Lord.”^(A)

²³ Then they ran and brought him from there. When he took his stand among the people, he was head and shoulders taller than any of them.^(A)
