¹⁵ Then Manoah said to the Angel of the Lord, “Please ^(A)let us detain You, and we will prepare a young goat for You.”

³ And the ^(A)Angel of the Lord appeared to the woman and said to her, “Indeed now, you are barren and have borne no children, but you shall conceive and bear a son.

^18 (A)Do not depart from here, I pray, until I come to You and bring out my offering and set it before You.”

And He said, “I will wait until you come back.”

^19 (B)So Gideon went in and prepared a young goat, and unleavened bread from an ephah of flour. The meat he put in a basket, and he put the broth in a pot; and he brought them out to Him under the terebinth tree and presented them.

³ and said, “My Lord, if I have now found favor in Your sight, do not pass on by Your servant. ⁴ Please let ^(A)a little water be brought, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree. ⁵ And ^(B)I will bring a morsel of bread, that ^(C)you may refresh your hearts. After that you may pass by, ^(D)inasmuch as you have come to your servant.”

They said, “Do as you have said.”
