^8 (A)And the elders of Gilead said to Jephthah, “That is why we have ^(B)turned^[a] again to you now, that you may go with us and fight against the people of Ammon, and be ^(C)our head over all the inhabitants of Gilead.”

¹⁸ And the people, the leaders of Gilead, said to one another, “Who is the man who will begin the fight against the people of Ammon? He shall ^(A)be head over all the inhabitants of Gilead.”

⁶ Then the king answered and said to the man of God, “Please ^(A)entreat the favor of the Lord your God, and pray for me, that my hand may be restored to me.”

So the man of God entreated the Lord, and the king’s hand was restored to him, and became as before.

¹⁷ Now therefore, please forgive my sin only this once, and ^(A)entreat^[a] the Lord your God, that He may take away from me this death only.”

^28 (A)Entreat^[a] the Lord, that there may be no more ^[b]mighty thundering and hail, for it is enough. I will let you ^(B)go, and you shall stay no longer.”

²⁸ So Pharaoh said, “I will let you go, that you may sacrifice to the Lord your God in the wilderness; only you shall not go very far away. ^(A)Intercede for me.”

⁸ Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron, and said, ^(A)“Entreat^[a] the Lord that He may take away the frogs from me and from my people; and I will let the people ^(B)go, that they may sacrifice to the Lord.”

³ Take heed to yourselves. ^(A)If your brother sins ^[a]against you, ^(B)rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. ⁴ And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns ^[b]to you, saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him.”
