²⁹ Woe to you, Moab!^(A)
    You are destroyed, people of Chemosh!^(B)
He has given up his sons as fugitives^(C)
    and his daughters as captives^(D)
    to Sihon king of the Amorites.

⁵ All the nations may walk
    in the name of their gods,^(A)
but we will walk in the name of the Lord
    our God for ever and ever.^(B)

⁵⁵ He drove out nations^(A) before them
    and allotted their lands to them as an inheritance;^(B)
    he settled the tribes of Israel in their homes.

⁴⁶ Woe to you, Moab!^(A)
    The people of Chemosh are destroyed;
your sons are taken into exile
    and your daughters into captivity.

⁷ Since you trust in your deeds and riches,^(A)
    you too will be taken captive,
and Chemosh^(B) will go into exile,^(C)
    together with his priests and officials.^(D)
