⁷ And Adoni-Bezek said, “Seventy kings with their thumbs and big toes cut off used to gather scraps under my table; ^(A)as I have done, so God has repaid me.” Then they brought him to Jerusalem, and there he died.

^10 (A)He who leads into captivity shall go into captivity; ^(B)he who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. ^(C)Here is the ^[a]patience and the faith of the saints.

¹³ For ^(A)judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown ^(B)no ^(C)mercy. ^(D)Mercy triumphs over judgment.

Do Not Judge^(A)

^37 (B)“Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. ^(C)Forgive, and you will be forgiven. ^38 (D)Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your ^(E)bosom. For ^(F)with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”

Do Not Judge^(A)

7 “Judge^{[a] (B)}not, that you be not judged. ² For with what ^[b]judgment you judge, you will be judged; ^(C)and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.

¹⁹ ‘If a man causes disfigurement of his neighbor, as ^(A)he has done, so shall it be done to him— ²⁰ fracture for ^(B)fracture, ^(C)eye for eye, tooth for tooth; as he has caused disfigurement of a man, so shall it be done to him. ²¹ And whoever kills an animal shall restore it; but whoever kills a man shall be put to death.

¹⁵ who show the ^(A)work of the law written in their hearts, their ^(B)conscience also bearing witness, and between themselves their thoughts accusing or else excusing them)

²³ But if any harm follows, then you shall give life for life, ^24 (A)eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, ²⁵ burn for burn, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.
