³²The Asherites lived among the Canaanite inhabitants of the land because they did not drive them out.

³⁴They did not destroy the nations, concerning whom the Lord commanded them:

³⁵But were mingled among the heathen, and learned their works.

³⁴They did not destroy^(A) the peoples
as the Lord had commanded^(B) them,
³⁵but they mingled^(C) with the nations
and adopted their customs.
