The Territory of Asher

24 The fifth lot came out for the tribe of Asher according to its families. 25 Its boundary included Helkath, Hali, Beten, Achshaph, 26 Allammelech, Amad, and Mishal; on the west it touches Carmel and Shihor-libnath, 27 then it turns eastward, goes to Beth-dagon, and touches Zebulun and the valley of Iphtah-el northward to Beth-emek and Neiel; then it continues in the north to Cabul, 28 Ebron, Rehob, Hammon, Kanah, as far as Great Sidon;(A) 29 then the boundary turns to Ramah, reaching to the fortified city of Tyre; then the boundary turns to Hosah, and it ends at the sea; Mahaleb,[a] Achzib, 30 Ummah, Aphek, and Rehob—twenty-two towns with their villages.(B)

24 The fifth lot came out for the tribe of Asher(A) according to its clans. 25 Their territory included:

Helkath, Hali, Beten, Akshaph,(B) 26 Allammelek, Amad and Mishal.(C) On the west the boundary touched Carmel(D) and Shihor Libnath. 27 It then turned east toward Beth Dagon,(E) touched Zebulun(F) and the Valley of Iphtah El,(G) and went north to Beth Emek and Neiel, passing Kabul(H) on the left. 28 It went to Abdon,[a](I) Rehob,(J) Hammon(K) and Kanah,(L) as far as Greater Sidon.(M) 29 The boundary then turned back toward Ramah(N) and went to the fortified city of Tyre,(O) turned toward Hosah and came out at the Mediterranean Sea(P) in the region of Akzib,(Q) 30 Ummah, Aphek(R) and Rehob.(S) There were twenty-two towns and their villages.
