⁸In the very same way, on the strength of their dreams these ungodly people pollute their own bodies, reject authority and heap abuse on celestial beings.^(A) ⁹But even the archangel^(B) Michael,^(C) when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses,^(D) did not himself dare to condemn him for slander but said, “The Lord rebuke you!”^[a]^(E) ¹⁰Yet these people slander whatever they do not understand, and the very things they do understand by instinct—as irrational animals do—will destroy them.^(F)

⁸Yet in like manner these people also, relying on their dreams, defile the flesh, reject authority, and ^(A)blaspheme the glorious ones. ⁹But when ^(B)the archangel ^(C)Michael, contending with the devil, was disputing ^(D)about the body of Moses, he did not presume to pronounce a blasphemous judgment, but said, ^(E)“The Lord rebuke you.” ¹⁰^(F)But these people blaspheme all that they do not understand, and they are destroyed by all that they, like unreasoning animals, understand instinctively.
