⁷ as ^(A)Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the ^[a]vengeance of eternal fire.

²³ ‘The whole land is brimstone, ^(A)salt, and burning; it is not sown, nor does it bear, nor does any grass grow there, ^(B)like the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, which the Lord overthrew in His anger and His wrath.’

⁶ and turning the cities of ^(A)Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, making them an example to those who afterward would live ungodly;

²⁶ For this reason God gave them up to ^(A)vile passions. For even their ^[a]women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. ²⁷ Likewise also the ^[b]men, leaving the natural use of the ^[c]woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.

²⁴ Then the Lord rained ^(A)brimstone and ^(B)fire on Sodom and Gomorrah, from the Lord out of the heavens. ²⁵ So He ^[a]overthrew those cities, all the plain, all the inhabitants of the cities, and ^(C)what grew on the ground.

²⁶ But his wife looked back behind him, and she became ^(D)a pillar of salt.

²⁹ but on ^(A)the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all.

²⁰ And the Lord said, “Because ^(A)the outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their ^(B)sin is very grave,

¹³ But the men of Sodom ^(A)were exceedingly wicked and ^(B)sinful against the Lord.

⁴¹ “Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ^(A)‘Depart from Me, you cursed, ^(B)into the everlasting fire prepared for ^(C)the devil and his angels:
