11 Woe to them! For they went the way of Cain; they were consumed for pay in Balaam’s error; and in Korah’s rebellion they have been destroyed. [a] 12 These people are hidden rocky reefs at your love feasts—shamelessly feasting with you, tending only to themselves.[b] They are waterless clouds, carried along by winds; fruitless trees in late autumn, doubly dead, uprooted; 13 wild waves of the sea, foaming up their own shame;[c] wandering stars, for whom the gloom of utter darkness has been reserved forever.[d]

12 These people are blemishes at your love feasts,(D) eating with you without the slightest qualm—shepherds who feed only themselves.(E) They are clouds without rain,(F) blown along by the wind;(G) autumn trees, without fruit and uprooted(H)—twice dead. 13 They are wild waves of the sea,(I) foaming up their shame;(J) wandering stars, for whom blackest darkness has been reserved forever.(K)
