La mujer sorprendida en adulterio
8 Pero Jesús se fue al Monte de los Olivos(A). 2 Y al amanecer, vino otra vez al templo, y todo el pueblo venía a Él; y sentándose, les enseñaba(B). 3 Los escribas y los fariseos trajeron* a una mujer sorprendida en adulterio, y poniéndola en medio, 4 le dijeron*: Maestro, esta mujer ha sido sorprendida en el acto mismo del adulterio. 5 Y en la ley, Moisés nos ordenó apedrear a esta clase de mujeres(C); ¿tú, pues, qué dices? 6 Decían esto, probándole(D), para tener de qué acusarle(E). Pero Jesús se inclinó y con el dedo escribía en la tierra. 7 Pero como insistían en preguntarle, Jesús se enderezó(F) y les dijo: El que de vosotros esté sin pecado, sea el primero(G) en tirarle una piedra(H). 8 E inclinándose de nuevo, escribía en la tierra. 9 Pero al oír ellos esto, se fueron retirando uno a uno comenzando por los de mayor edad, y dejaron solo a Jesús y a la mujer que estaba en medio. 10 Enderezándose(I) Jesús, le dijo: Mujer, ¿dónde están ellos? ¿Ninguno te ha condenado? 11 Y ella respondió: Ninguno, Señor. Entonces Jesús le dijo: Yo tampoco te condeno(J). Vete; desde ahora no peques más(K).
Jesús, la luz del mundo
12 Jesús les habló otra vez, diciendo: Yo soy la luz del mundo(L); el que me sigue no andará en tinieblas, sino que tendrá la luz(M) de la vida. 13 Entonces los fariseos le dijeron: Tú das testimonio de ti mismo; tu testimonio no es verdadero[a](N). 14 Respondió Jesús y les dijo: Aunque yo doy testimonio(O) de mí mismo, mi testimonio es verdadero, porque yo sé de dónde he venido y adónde voy(P); pero vosotros no sabéis de dónde vengo(Q) ni adónde voy. 15 Vosotros juzgáis según la carne[b](R); yo no juzgo a nadie(S). 16 Pero si yo juzgo, mi juicio es verdadero; porque no soy yo solo, sino yo y el Padre que[c] me envió(T). 17 Aun en vuestra ley está escrito que el testimonio de dos hombres es verdadero[d](U). 18 Yo soy el que doy testimonio de mí mismo, y el Padre que me envió da testimonio de mí(V). 19 Entonces le decían: ¿Dónde está tu Padre? Jesús respondió: No me conocéis a mí ni a mi Padre. Si me conocierais a mí, conoceríais también a mi Padre(W). 20 Estas palabras las pronunció en el lugar del tesoro(X), cuando enseñaba en el templo(Y); y nadie le prendió, porque todavía no había llegado su hora(Z).
Advertencias a los incrédulos
21 Entonces les dijo de nuevo: Yo me voy, y me buscaréis(AA), y moriréis en vuestro pecado(AB); adonde yo voy, vosotros no podéis ir. 22 Por eso los judíos(AC) decían: ¿Acaso se va a suicidar, puesto que dice: «Adonde yo voy, vosotros no podéis ir(AD)»? 23 Y Jesús les decía: Vosotros sois de abajo, yo soy de arriba(AE); vosotros sois de este mundo(AF), yo no soy de este mundo(AG). 24 Por eso os dije que moriréis en vuestros pecados; porque si no creéis que yo soy[e](AH), moriréis en vuestros pecados(AI). 25 Entonces le decían: ¿Tú quién eres? Jesús les dijo: ¿Qué os he estado diciendo desde el principio[f]? 26 Tengo mucho que decir y juzgar de vosotros, pero el que me envió es veraz(AJ); y yo, las cosas que oí de Él, estas digo al mundo(AK). 27 No comprendieron que les hablaba del Padre. 28 Por eso Jesús dijo: Cuando levantéis al Hijo del Hombre(AL), entonces sabréis que yo soy[g](AM) y que no hago nada por mi cuenta(AN), sino que hablo estas cosas como el Padre me enseñó. 29 Y El que me envió está conmigo; no me ha dejado[h] solo(AO), porque yo siempre hago lo que le agrada(AP). 30 Al hablar estas cosas, muchos creyeron en Él(AQ).
Los verdaderos hijos de Abraham
31 Entonces Jesús decía a los judíos que habían creído en Él: Si vosotros permanecéis en mi palabra(AR), verdaderamente sois mis discípulos(AS); 32 y conoceréis la verdad(AT), y la verdad os hará libres(AU). 33 Ellos le contestaron: Somos descendientes de Abraham(AV) y nunca hemos sido esclavos de nadie. ¿Cómo dices tú: «Seréis libres»? 34 Jesús les respondió: En verdad, en verdad os digo que todo el que comete pecado es esclavo del pecado(AW); 35 y el esclavo no queda en la casa para siempre(AX); el hijo sí permanece para siempre(AY). 36 Así que, si el Hijo os hace libres(AZ), seréis realmente libres. 37 Sé que sois descendientes de Abraham(BA); y sin embargo, procuráis matarme(BB) porque mi palabra no tiene cabida en vosotros[i]. 38 Yo hablo lo que he visto con mi Padre[j]; vosotros, entonces, hacéis también lo que oísteis de vuestro padre(BC). 39 Ellos le contestaron, y le dijeron: Abraham es nuestro padre(BD). Jesús les dijo*: Si sois hijos de Abraham(BE), haced las obras de Abraham. 40 Pero ahora procuráis matarme(BF), a mí[k] que os he dicho la verdad que oí de Dios(BG). Esto no lo hizo Abraham. 41 Vosotros hacéis las obras de vuestro padre(BH). Ellos le dijeron: Nosotros no nacimos de fornicación; tenemos un Padre, es decir, Dios(BI). 42 Jesús les dijo: Si Dios fuera vuestro Padre, me amaríais(BJ), porque yo salí de Dios y vine de Él(BK), pues no he venido por mi propia iniciativa(BL), sino que Él[l] me envió(BM). 43 ¿Por qué no entendéis lo que digo[m](BN)? Porque no podéis oír mi palabra(BO). 44 Sois de vuestro padre el diablo y queréis hacer los deseos de vuestro padre(BP). Él fue un homicida desde el principio(BQ), y no se ha mantenido en la verdad porque no hay verdad en él. Cuando habla mentira[n], habla de su propia naturaleza(BR), porque es mentiroso(BS) y el padre de la mentira[o]. 45 Pero porque yo digo la verdad(BT), no me creéis. 46 ¿Quién de vosotros me prueba que tengo pecado? Y si digo verdad(BU), ¿por qué vosotros no me creéis? 47 El que es de Dios escucha las palabras de Dios; por eso vosotros no escucháis, porque no sois de Dios(BV).
Jesús, anterior a Abraham
48 Contestaron los judíos(BW), y le dijeron: ¿No decimos con razón que tú eres samaritano(BX) y que tienes un demonio(BY)? 49 Jesús respondió: Yo no tengo ningún demonio(BZ), sino que honro a mi Padre, y vosotros me deshonráis a mí. 50 Pero yo no busco mi gloria(CA); hay Uno que la busca, y juzga. 51 En verdad, en verdad os digo que si alguno guarda mi palabra(CB), no verá jamás la muerte(CC). 52 Los judíos(CD) le dijeron: Ahora sí sabemos que tienes un demonio(CE). Abraham murió, y también los profetas, y tú dices: «Si alguno guarda mi palabra(CF) no probará jamás la muerte(CG)». 53 ¿Eres tú acaso mayor que nuestro padre(CH) Abraham que murió? Los profetas también murieron; ¿quién crees que eres?[p] 54 Jesús respondió: Si yo mismo me glorifico(CI), mi gloria no es nada; es mi Padre el que me glorifica(CJ), de quien vosotros decís: «Él es nuestro Dios». 55 Y vosotros no le habéis conocido(CK), pero yo le conozco; y si digo que no le conozco seré un mentiroso como vosotros(CL); pero sí le conozco(CM) y guardo su palabra(CN). 56 Vuestro padre Abraham(CO) se regocijó esperando ver[q] mi día; y lo vio y se alegró(CP). 57 Por esto los judíos(CQ) le dijeron: Aún no tienes cincuenta años, ¿y has visto a Abraham? 58 Jesús les dijo: En verdad, en verdad os digo: antes que Abraham naciera[r], yo soy(CR). 59 Entonces tomaron piedras para tirárselas(CS), pero Jesús se ocultó[s](CT) y salió del templo[t].

John 8
Contemporary English Version
8 1 but Jesus walked out to the Mount of Olives. 2 Then early the next morning he went to the temple. The people came to him, and he sat down[a] and started teaching them.
3 The Pharisees and the teachers of the Law of Moses brought in a woman who had been caught in bed with a man who wasn't her husband. They made her stand in the middle of the crowd. 4 Then they said, “Teacher, this woman was caught sleeping with a man who isn't her husband. 5 (A) The Law of Moses teaches that a woman like this should be stoned to death! What do you say?”
6 They asked Jesus this question, because they wanted to test him and bring some charge against him. But Jesus simply bent over and started writing on the ground with his finger.
7 (B) They kept on asking Jesus about the woman. Finally, he stood up and said, “If any of you have never sinned, then go ahead and throw the first stone at her!” 8 Once again he bent over and began writing on the ground. 9 The people left one by one, beginning with the oldest. Finally, Jesus and the woman were there alone.
10 Jesus stood up and asked her, “Where is everyone? Isn't there anyone left to accuse you?”
11 “No sir,” the woman answered.
Then Jesus told her, “I am not going to accuse you either. You may go now, but don't sin anymore.”[b]
Jesus Is the Light for the World
12 (C) Once again Jesus spoke to the people. This time he said, “I am the light for the world! Follow me, and you won't be walking in the dark. You will have the light that gives life.”
13 (D) The Pharisees objected, “You are the only one speaking for yourself, and what you say isn't true!”
14 Jesus replied:
Even if I do speak for myself, what I say is true! I know where I came from and where I am going. But you don't know where I am from or where I am going. 15 You judge in the same way that everyone else does, but I don't judge anyone. 16 If I did judge, I would judge fairly, because I would not be doing it alone. The Father who sent me is here with me. 17 (E) Your Law requires two witnesses to prove that something is true. 18 I am one of my witnesses, and the Father who sent me is the other one.
19 “Where is your Father?” they asked.
“You don't know me or my Father!” Jesus answered. “If you knew me, you would know my Father.”
20 Jesus said this while he was still teaching in the place where the temple treasures were stored. But no one arrested him, because his time had not yet come.[c]
You Cannot Go Where I Am Going
21 Jesus also told them, “I am going away, and you will look for me. But you cannot go where I am going, and you will die with your sins unforgiven.”
22 The people asked, “Does he intend to kill himself? Is that what he means by saying we cannot go where he is going?”
23 Jesus answered, “You are from below, but I am from above. You belong to this world, but I don't. 24 This is why I said you will die with your sins unforgiven. If you don't have faith in me for who I am,[d] you will die, and your sins will not be forgiven.”
25 “Who are you?” they asked Jesus.
Jesus answered, “I am exactly who I told you at the beginning. 26 There is a lot more I could say to condemn you. But the one who sent me is truthful, and I tell the people of this world only what I have heard from him.”
27 No one understood that Jesus was talking to them about the Father.
28 Jesus went on to say, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man,[e] you will know who I am. You will also know that I don't do anything on my own. I say only what my Father taught me. 29 The one who sent me is with me. I always do what pleases him, and he will never leave me.”
30 After Jesus said this, many of the people put their faith in him.
The Truth Will Set You Free
31 Jesus told the people who had faith in him, “If you keep on obeying what I have said, you truly are my disciples. 32 (F) You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
33 (G) They answered, “We are Abraham's children! We have never been anyone's slaves. How can you say we will be set free?”
34 Jesus replied:
I tell you for certain that anyone who sins is a slave of sin! 35 And slaves don't stay in the family forever, though the Son will always remain in the family. 36 If the Son gives you freedom, you are free! 37 I know that you are from Abraham's family. Yet you want to kill me, because my message isn't really in your hearts. 38 I am telling you what my Father has shown me, just as you are doing what your father has taught you.
Your Father Is the Devil
39 The people said to Jesus, “Abraham is our father!”
Jesus replied, “If you were Abraham's children, you would do what Abraham did. 40 Instead, you want to kill me for telling you the truth that God gave me. Abraham never did anything like that. 41 But you are doing exactly what your father does.”
“Don't accuse us of having someone else as our father!” they said. “We just have one father, and he is God.”
42 Jesus answered:
If God were your Father, you would love me, because I came from God and now I am here. He sent me. I did not come on my own. 43 Why can't you understand what I am talking about? Can't you stand to hear what I am saying? 44 (H) Your father is the devil, and you do exactly what he wants. He has always been a murderer and a liar. There is nothing truthful about him. He speaks on his own, and everything he says is a lie. Not only is he a liar himself, but he is also the father of all lies.
45 Everything I have told you is true, and you still refuse to have faith in me. 46 Can any of you accuse me of sin? If you cannot, why won't you have faith in me? After all, I am telling you the truth. 47 Anyone who belongs to God will listen to his message. But you refuse to listen, because you don't belong to God.
Jesus and Abraham
48 The people told Jesus, “We were right to say that you are a Samaritan[f] and that you have a demon in you!”
49 Jesus answered, “I don't have a demon in me. I honor my Father, and you refuse to honor me. 50 I don't want honor for myself. But there is one who wants me to be honored, and he is also the one who judges. 51 I tell you for certain that if you obey my words, you will never die.”
52 Then the people said, “Now we are sure that you have a demon. Abraham is dead, and so are the prophets. How can you say that no one who obeys your words will ever die? 53 Are you greater than our father Abraham? He died, and so did the prophets. Who do you think you are?”
54 Jesus replied, “If I honored myself, it would mean nothing. My Father is the one who honors me. You claim that he is your God, 55 even though you don't really know him. If I said I didn't know him, I would be a liar, just like all of you. But I know him, and I do what he says. 56 Your father Abraham was really glad to see me.”
57 “You are not even 50 years old!” they said. “How could you have seen Abraham?”
58 Jesus answered, “I tell you for certain that even before Abraham was, I was, and I am.”[g] 59 The people picked up stones to kill Jesus, but he hid and left the temple.

8 그러나 예수께서는 올리브 산[a]으로 가셨다. 2 이른 아침에 예수께서 다시 성전 뜰에 나타나셨다. 모든 사람이 그분 둘레에 모여들자, 예수께서 앉아서 가르치기 시작하셨다. 3 그때에 율법 선생들과 바리새파 사람들이 간음[b]하다가 잡힌 한 여자를 그곳으로 데리고 왔다. 그들은 그 여자를 그곳에 있는 사람들 앞으로 내세웠다. 4 그리고 예수께 이렇게 말하였다. “선생님, 이 여자는 간음 현장에서 붙잡혔습니다. 5 모세의 법에서는 그런 여자는 모두 돌로 쳐서 죽이라고 하였습니다. 선생님의 생각은 어떻습니까?” 6 그들이 이렇게 물은 것은 예수를 고소할 구실을 찾으려는 것이었다. 그러나 예수께서는 몸을 굽혀 손가락으로 땅에 무언가를 쓰기 시작하셨다. 7 그들이 다그쳐 묻자, 예수께서 고개를 드시고 말씀하셨다. “너희 가운데서 한 번도 죄를 지은 적이 없는 사람이 먼저 이 여자를 돌로 쳐라.” 8 그분은 다시 몸을 굽혀 땅에 글을 쓰셨다.

11 여자가 대답하였다. “아무도 없습니다, 선생님.”
예수께서 말씀하셨다. “나도 너를 정죄하지 않겠다. 이제 가거라. 그리고 앞으로 더는 죄를 짓지 말아라.”
예수는 세상의 빛이다
12 예수께서 사람들에게 다시 말씀하셨다. “나는 세상의 빛이다. 누구든지 나를 따르는 사람은 결코 어둠 속을 걷지 않고, 생명의 빛을 얻을 것이다.”
13 바리새파 사람들이 예수께 말하였다. “당신이 자기 자신에 대해 증언하니, 그 증언은 참되지 못합니다.”
14 예수께서 대답하셨다. “내가 비록 나 자신에 대해 증언하더라도 내 증언은 참되다. 나는 내가 어디에서 와서 어디로 가는지 알기 때문이다. 그러나 너희는 내가 어디에서 왔으며 어디로 가는지 모른다. 15 너희는 사람이 정한 기준을 가지고 심판하지만, 나는 아무도 너희처럼 심판하지 않는다. 16 그러나 만약 내가 심판하더라도 그 판결은 바르다. 그것은 나 혼자서 심판하는 것이 아니라, 나를 보내신 아버지께서 나와 함께 심판하시기 때문이다. 17 너희의 법에서도 두 사람의 증언이 같으면, 그 증언은 참되다고 하지 않느냐? 18 내가 나 자신에 대하여 증언하고 나를 보내신 아버지께서도 내게 대하여 증언하시니, 내게도 두 증인이 있다.”
19 그러자 그들이 물었다. “당신의 아버지가 어디 계십니까?”
예수께서 대답하셨다. “너희는 나도 모르고 내 아버지도 모른다. 만일 너희가 나를 알았더라면 내 아버지도 알았을 것이다.” 20 이것은, 예수께서 성전에서 가르치실 때에, 헌금궤[c] 가까이에서 하신 말씀이다. 그러나 아무도 예수를 붙잡지 않았다. 아직 그분의 때가 오지 않았기 때문이다.
유대 지도자들이 예수를 이해하지 못하다
21 예수께서 다시 한 번 그들에게 말씀하셨다. “나는 너희를 떠날 것이다. 너희는 나를 찾다가, 너희의 죄 속에서 죽고 말 것이다. 너희는 내가 가는 곳으로 올 수 없다.”
22 이 말에 유대 사람들은 자기들끼리 수군거렸다. “이 사람이 스스로 목숨을 끊겠다는 말인가? 그래서 ‘너희는 내가 가는 곳으로 올 수 없다.’ 라고 말하는 것일까?”
23 예수께서 그들에게 말씀하셨다. “너희는 여기 아래에서 왔지만 나는 위에서 왔다. 너희는 이 세상에 속하지만, 나는 이 세상에 속하지 않는다. 24 나는 너희가 너희의 죄 속에서 죽을 것이라고 말하였다. 나는 ‘내가 그이다’[d] 라고 주장하고 있다. 그런데 내가 ‘그’ 라는 것을 너희가 믿지 않으면, 너희는 정말로 너희의 죄 속에서 죽을 것이다.”
25 유대 사람들이 물었다. “당신은 누구입니까?”
예수께서 대답하셨다. “나는 처음부터 너희에게 말해 온 그이다. 26 나는 너희에 대하여 할 말도 많고, 잘못되었다고 심판할 것도 많다. 나를 보내신 분이 정말로 계신다. 나는 나를 보내신 분께 들은 것을 말할 뿐이다.”
27 그들은 예수께서 아버지를 두고 말씀하신다는 것을 알지 못하였다. 28 그래서 예수께서 이렇게 말씀하셨다. “너희는 사람의 아들을 들어 올린[e] 뒤에야, 내가 그라는 것을 알게 될 것이다. 그리고 내가 아무것도 내 마음대로 하지 않고, 아버지께서 내게 가르쳐 주신 것만을 말한다는 것도 알게 될 것이다. 29 나를 보내신 분은 나와 함께 계시고, 나를 혼자 버려 두지 않으신다. 내가 언제나 그분을 기쁘게 해 드리는 일을 하기 때문이다.” 30 예수의 이 말씀을 듣고 많은 사람이 예수를 믿고 의지하였다.
죄로부터의 자유에 대해 말씀하시다
31 예수께서 자기를 믿은 유대 사람들에게 말씀하셨다. “너희가 내 가르침을 계속 따르면 너희는 진정한 내 제자들이다. 32 그러면 너희는 진리를 알게 될 것이고, 진리가 너희를 자유롭게 할 것이다.”
33 그들이 대답하였다. “우리는 아브라함의 자손이며, 어느 누구의 종이 된 적이 없습니다. 그런데 어찌하여 우리가 자유롭게 될 것이라고 말씀하십니까?”
34 예수께서 대답하셨다. “내가 진정으로 너희에게 말한다. 죄를 짓는 사람은 누구나 죄의 종이다. 35 종에게는 그가 있는 집안에서 영원히 차지할 자리가 없지만, 아들은 영원한 자리를 차지한다. 36 그러므로 아들이 너희에게 자유를 주면, 너희는 참으로 자유로운 사람이 될 것이다. 37 나는 너희가 아브라함의 자손이라는 것을 안다. 그러나 너희에게는 나의 가르침을 받아들일 자리가 없기 때문에 나를 죽이려고 한다. 38 나는 아버지 앞에서 본 것을 너희에게 말한다. 그러나 너희는 너희의 아비에게서 들은 것을 행한다.”
39 유대 사람들이 대꾸하였다. “우리 아버지는 아브라함입니다.”
예수께서 말씀하셨다. “너희가 진정 아브라함의 자손이라면, 아브라함이 한 일을 그대로 할 것이다. 40 그러나 지금 너희는 하나님께 들은 진리를 전하는 나를 죽이려 하고 있다. 아브라함은 그렇게 하지 않았다. 41 너희는 너희의 아비가 하던 일을 그대로 하고 있다.”
그들이 항의하였다. “우리는 사생아가 아닙니다. 우리의 아버지는 오직 하나님 한 분뿐이십니다.”
42 예수께서 그들에게 말씀하셨다. “하나님께서 너희의 아버지시라면, 너희는 나를 사랑할 것이다. 내가 아버지께로부터 왔기 때문이다. 나는 내 마음대로 오지 않았다. 하나님께서 나를 보내셨다. 43 어찌하여 너희는 내가 하는 말을 알아듣지 못하느냐? 그것은 너희가 내 가르침을 받아들이지 않기 때문이다. 44 너희는 너희의 아비 곧 악마의 자식들이다. 그래서 너희는 악마인 너희의 아비가 바라는 일을 하고 싶어한다. 악마는 처음부터 살인자였고, 진리 편에 서지 않았다. 그에게 진리가 없기 때문이다. 그가 거짓말을 할 때에는, 그의 본성에서 그렇게 하는 것이다. 악마는 거짓말쟁이이며 거짓의 아비이기 때문이다. 45 그러나 나는 진리를 말한다. 그런 까닭에 너희가 나를 믿지 않는다. 46 너희 가운데 내게 죄가 있다고 증명할 수 있는 사람이 있느냐? 내가 진리를 말하는데도, 어찌하여 너희는 나를 믿지 않느냐? 47 하나님께 속한 사람은 하나님의 말씀을 듣는다. 너희가 듣지 못하는 것은, 너희가 하나님께 속하지 않았기 때문이다.”
예수 자신과 아브라함에 관해 말씀하시다
48 유대 사람들이 대꾸하였다. “우리는 당신을 사마리아 사람이라고 말합니다. 그리고 당신이 귀신 들렸다고도 말합니다. 우리의 말이 맞습니까?”
49 예수께서 대답하셨다. “나는 귀신 들린 것이 아니라 내 아버지를 높이고 있다. 그런데도 너희는 나를 멸시한다. 50 나는 나 자신을 위해 영광을 얻으려 하지 않는다. 그러나 내가 영광을 얻기를 바라는 분이 계시며, 그분이 심판자이시다. 51 내가 진정으로 너희에게 말한다. 내 말을 지키는 사람은 결코 죽지 않을 것이다.”
52 이 말씀에 유대 사람들이 소리쳤다. “이제 우리는 당신이 귀신 들린 것을 확실히 알겠소! 아브라함도 죽었고, 예언자들도 죽었소. 그런데 당신은 ‘내 말을 지키는 사람은 결코 죽지 않을 것이다.’ 라고 말하고 있소. 53 당신이 우리 조상 아브라함보다 더 위대한 사람이란 말이오? 아브라함은 죽었소. 예언자들도 죽었소. 당신은 당신 자신을 누구라고 생각하시오?”
54 예수께서 대답하셨다. “만일 내가 나를 영광스럽게 한다면, 그 영광은 아무것도 아니다. 나를 영광스럽게 해 주시는 분은 내 아버지시다. 너희가 너희의 하나님이라고 하는 바로 그분이시다. 55 너희는 그분을 알지 못하지만 나는 그분을 안다. 만일 내가 그분을 모른다고 하면, 나도 너희처럼 거짓말쟁이가 될 것이다. 그러나 나는 정녕 그분을 알고 있으며 그분의 말씀을 지킨다. 56 너희의 조상 아브라함은 내가 오는 날을 보리라 생각하고 기쁨에 차 있었다. 그는 그날을 보았고 또 기뻐하였다.”
57 유대 사람들이 그에게 말하였다. “당신은 아직 쉰 살도 되지 않았는데, 아브라함을 보았단 말이오?”
58 예수께서 대답하셨다. “내가 진정으로 너희에게 말한다. 아브라함이 태어나기 전부터 ‘나는 있다.’”[f] 59 예수께서 이 말씀을 하시자, 그들은 돌을 집어 들어 예수를 치려고 하였다. 그러나 예수께서는 그들 가운데를 지나서 성전 밖으로 나가셨다.
