Nagtalu-talo ang mga Tao tungkol sa Cristo
40 Sinabi ng ilang nakarinig sa kanya, “Tunay ngang ito ang Propetang hinihintay natin!” 41 “Siya na nga ang Cristo!” sabi naman ng iba. Ngunit may nagsabi rin, “Maaari bang magmula sa Galilea ang Cristo? Di ba hindi? 42 Hindi(A) ba sinasabi sa Kasulatan na ang Cristo ay magmumula sa lipi ni David, at ipanganganak sa Bethlehem na bayan ni David?”

40 Many of the people therefore, when they heard this saying, said, Of a truth this is the Prophet.
41 Others said, This is the Christ. But some said, Shall Christ come out of Galilee?
42 Hath not the scripture said, That Christ cometh of the seed of David, and out of the town of Bethlehem, where David was?

Still others asked, “How can the Messiah come from Galilee?(B) 42 Does not Scripture say that the Messiah will come from David’s descendants(C) and from Bethlehem,(D) the town where David lived?”
