3 Jesús le respondió:
—Te digo la verdad, a menos que nazcas de nuevo,[a] no puedes ver el reino de Dios.
4 —¿Qué quieres decir?—exclamó Nicodemo—. ¿Cómo puede un hombre mayor volver al vientre de su madre y nacer de nuevo?
5 Jesús le contestó:
—Te digo la verdad, nadie puede entrar en el reino de Dios si no nace de agua y del Espíritu.[b] 6 El ser humano solo puede reproducir la vida humana, pero la vida espiritual nace del Espíritu Santo.[c] 7 Así que no te sorprendas cuando digo: “Tienen que nacer de nuevo”.

3 Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.[a]”(A)
4 “How can someone be born when they are old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother’s womb to be born!”
5 Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit.(B) 6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit[b] gives birth to spirit.(C) 7 You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You[c] must be born again.’
