Ang Kasal sa Cana
2 Paglabay sa duha ka adlaw, may kasal sa lungsod sa Cana sa probinsya sa Galilea. Anaa didto ang inahan ni Jesus. 2 Gidapit usab si Jesus ug ang iyang mga tinun-an. 3 Ug nahitabo nga nahurot ang bino alang sa kombira. Busa miingon ang inahan ni Jesus kaniya, “Nahutdan sila ug bino.” 4 Mitubag si Jesus, “Ayaw ako sultihi kon unsa ang angay kong buhaton.[a] Wala pa moabot ang akong panahon.” 5 Giingnan sa inahan ni Jesus ang mga sulugoon, “Buhata ninyo ang bisan unsa nga iyang isugo.”
6 May tulumanon ang mga Judio nga manghugas sa dili pa mokaon. Busa may unom didto ka tadyawng bato, ug ang matag usa masudlan ug mga 20 ngadto sa 30 ka galon nga tubig. 7 Miingon si Jesus sa mga sulugoon, “Pun-a ninyo ug tubig ang mga tadyaw.” Busa gipuno nila kini. 8 Pagkahuman, miingon si Jesus kanila, “Sige, pagkabo kamo niana ug dad-a sa nagadumala sa kombira.” Busa nagkabo sila ug gidala didto sa nagadumala, 9 ug gitilawan dayon sa nagadumala ang tubig nga nahimo nang bino. Wala siya mahibalo kon asa gikan ang bino apan nakahibalo ang mga sulugoon nga nagkabo sa tubig. Busa gitawag niya ang pamanhonon 10 ug giingnan, “Nabatasan sa kadaghanan nga modalit ug maayong matang sa bino sa pagsugod sa kombira ug kon daghan na ang nainom sa mga bisita, ordinaryo na nga bino ang ilang ihatag. Apan ikaw lahi, kay karon mo lang gipagawas ang labing maayong bino.”
11 Kini nga panghitabo sa Cana sa probinsya sa Galilea mao ang unang milagro nga gihimo ni Jesus. Sa iyang gihimo gipakita niya ang iyang gahom, ug mituo ang iyang mga tinun-an.
12 Human sa kasal, miadto sa Capernaum si Jesus kauban ang iyang inahan, mga igsoon nga lalaki, ug mga tinun-an, ug nagpabilin sila didto sa pipila ka adlaw.
Misulod si Jesus sa Templo
(Mat. 21:12-13; Mar. 11:15-17; Luc. 19:45-46)
13 Hapit na ang pista sa mga Judio nga gitawag nga Pista sa Paglabay sa Anghel. Busa miadto si Jesus sa Jerusalem. 14 Didto sa templo nakita niya nga may namaligya ug ighahalad nga mga baka, mga karnero ug mga salampati. Adunay mga tawo didto nga nagapang-ilis ug kuwarta diha sa ilang mga lamisa. 15 Busa naghimo siya ug latigo nga pisi. Ug unya gipang-abog niya ang mga karnero ug mga baka ngadto sa gawas sa templo. Gilabay niya ang mga kuwarta sa mga nang-ilis ug kuwarta ug gipang-tikwang usab ang ilang mga lamisa. 16 Miingon siya sa mga nagbaligya ug salampati, “Kuhaa kini dinhi! Ayaw ninyo himoa nga baligyaanan ang balay sa akong Amahan!” 17 Niining iyang gihimo, nahinumdoman sa iyang mga tinun-an ang nahisulat nga nagaingon, “Ang akong pagmahal sa imong balay maoy maghatod kanako sa kamatayon.”[b]
18 Tungod sa iyang gihimo, gipangutana siya sa mga tigdumala sa mga Judio, “Unsa nga milagro ang imong ikapakita kanamo sa pagpamatuod nga ikaw may gahom sa paghimo niini?” 19 Gitubag sila ni Jesus, “Gub-a ninyo kining templo ug sulod sa tulo ka adlaw tukoron ko kini pag-usab.” 20 Miingon sila, “Gitukod kini nga templo sulod sa 46 ka tuig ug tukoron mo pag-usab sulod lang sa tulo ka adlaw?” 21 Apan ang gihisgotan ni Jesus nga templo mao ang iyang lawas. 22 Busa sa dihang nabanhaw siya, nahinumdoman sa iyang mga tinun-an kining iyang gisulti. Ug mituo sila sa gipanagna sa Kasulatan ug sa iyang giingon mahitungod sa iyang pagkabanhaw.

23 Samtang didto si Jesus sa Jerusalem, sa panahon sa Pista sa Paglabay sa Anghel, daghan ang nakakita sa mga milagro nga iyang gipanghimo ug daghan kanila ang mituo kaniya. 24 Apan wala mosalig si Jesus sa ilang pagtuo kaniya kay nahibalo man siya sa tanang mga tawo. 25 Dili na kinahanglan nga sultihan pa siya mahitungod sa mga tawo, kay nahibalo na siyang daan kon unsa gayod ang anaa sa sulod sa ilang kasingkasing.

Miracle at Cana
2 On the third day there was a wedding at Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there; 2 and both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding. 3 When the wine was all gone, the mother of Jesus said to Him, “[a]They have no more wine.” 4 Jesus said to her, “[Dear] woman, [b]what is that to you and to Me? My time [to act and to be revealed] has not yet come.”(A) 5 His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.” 6 Now there were six stone waterpots set there for the Jewish custom of purification (ceremonial washing), containing twenty or thirty gallons each. 7 Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the waterpots with water.” So they filled them up to the brim. 8 Then He said to them, “Draw some out now and take it to the headwaiter [of the banquet].” So they took it to him. 9 And when the headwaiter tasted the water which had turned into wine, not knowing where it came from (though the servants who had drawn the water knew) he called the bridegroom, 10 and said to him, “Everyone else serves his best wine first, and when people have [c]drunk freely, then he serves that which is not so good; but you have kept back the good wine until now.” 11 This, the first of His signs (attesting miracles), Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and revealed His glory [displaying His deity and His great power openly], and His disciples believed [confidently] in Him [as the Messiah—they adhered to, trusted in, and relied on Him].(B)
12 After this He went down to Capernaum, He and His mother and brothers and His disciples; and they stayed there a few days.
First Passover—Cleansing the Temple
13 Now the Passover of the Jews was approaching, so Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 14 And in the temple [enclosure] He found the [d]people who were selling oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers sitting at their tables.(C) 15 He made a whip of cords, and drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen; and He scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables; 16 then to those who sold the doves He said, “Take these things away! Stop making My Father’s house a place of commerce!”(D) 17 His disciples remembered that it is written [in the Scriptures], “Zeal (love, concern) for Your house [and its honor] will consume Me.”(E) 18 Then the Jews retorted, “What sign (attesting miracle) can You show us as [proof of] your authority for doing these things?” 19 Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” 20 Then the Jews replied, “It took forty-six years to build this temple, and You will raise it up in three days?” 21 But He was speaking of the temple which was His body. 22 So when He had risen from the dead, His disciples remembered what He had said. And they believed and trusted in and relied on the Scripture and the words that Jesus had spoken.(F)
23 Now when He was in Jerusalem at the Passover feast, many believed in His name [identifying themselves with Him] after seeing His signs (attesting miracles) which He was doing. 24 But Jesus, for His part, did not entrust Himself to them, because He knew all people [and understood the [e]superficiality and fickleness of human nature], 25 and He did not need anyone to testify concerning man [and human nature], for He Himself knew what was in man [in their hearts—in the very core of their being].(G)

These people, whose belief was fleeting and superficial, were representative of the followers who abandoned Him later.
