Una boda en Caná de Galilea
2 Al tercer día hubo una boda en Caná, un pueblo de Galilea. La madre de Jesús estaba allí, 2 y Jesús y sus discípulos fueron también invitados a la boda. 3 Se acabó el vino, y la madre de Jesús le dijo:
—Ya no tienen vino.
4 Jesús le contestó:
—Mujer, ¿por qué me dices esto? Mi hora no ha llegado todavía.
5 Ella dijo a los que estaban sirviendo:
—Hagan todo lo que él les diga.
6 Había allí seis tinajas de piedra, para el agua que usan los judíos en sus ceremonias de purificación. En cada tinaja cabían de cincuenta a setenta litros de agua. 7 Jesús dijo a los sirvientes:
—Llenen de agua estas tinajas.
Las llenaron hasta arriba, 8 y Jesús les dijo:
—Ahora saquen un poco y llévenselo al encargado de la fiesta.
Así lo hicieron. 9 El encargado de la fiesta probó el agua convertida en vino, sin saber de dónde había salido; sólo los sirvientes lo sabían, pues ellos habían sacado el agua. Así que el encargado llamó al novio 10 y le dijo:
—Todo el mundo sirve primero el mejor vino, y cuando los invitados ya han bebido bastante, entonces se sirve el vino corriente. Pero tú has guardado el mejor vino hasta ahora.
11 Esto que hizo Jesús en Caná de Galilea fue la primera señal milagrosa con la cual mostró su gloria; y sus discípulos creyeron en él.
12 Después de esto se fue a Cafarnaúm, acompañado de su madre, sus hermanos y sus discípulos; y allí estuvieron unos cuantos días.
Jesús purifica el templo(A)
13 Como ya se acercaba la fiesta de la Pascua de los judíos, Jesús fue a Jerusalén. 14 Y encontró en el templo a los vendedores de novillos, ovejas y palomas, y a los que estaban sentados en los puestos donde se le cambiaba el dinero a la gente. 15 Al verlo, Jesús tomó unas cuerdas, se hizo un látigo y los echó a todos del templo, junto con sus ovejas y sus novillos. A los que cambiaban dinero les arrojó las monedas al suelo y les volcó las mesas. 16 A los vendedores de palomas les dijo:
—¡Saquen esto de aquí! ¡No hagan un mercado de la casa de mi Padre!
17 Entonces sus discípulos se acordaron de la Escritura que dice: «Me consumirá el celo por tu casa.»
18 Los judíos le preguntaron:
—¿Qué prueba nos das de tu autoridad para hacer esto?
19 Jesús les contestó:
—Destruyan este templo, y en tres días volveré a levantarlo.
20 Los judíos le dijeron:
—Cuarenta y seis años se ha trabajado en la construcción de este templo, ¿y tú en tres días lo vas a levantar?
21 Pero el templo al que Jesús se refería era su propio cuerpo. 22 Por eso, cuando resucitó, sus discípulos se acordaron de esto que había dicho, y creyeron en la Escritura y en las palabras de Jesús.
Jesús conoce a todos
23 Mientras Jesús estaba en Jerusalén, en la fiesta de la Pascua, muchos creyeron en él al ver las señales milagrosas que hacía. 24 Pero Jesús no confiaba en ellos, porque los conocía a todos. 25 No necesitaba que nadie le dijera nada acerca de la gente, pues él mismo conocía el corazón del hombre.

Miracle at Cana
2 On (A)the third day there was a wedding in (B)Cana of Galilee, and the (C)mother of Jesus was there; 2 and both Jesus and His (D)disciples were invited to the wedding. 3 When the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus *said to Him, “They have no wine.” 4 And Jesus *said to her, “[a](E)What business do you have with Me, (F)woman? (G)My hour has not yet come.” 5 His (H)mother *said to the servants, “Whatever He tells you, do it.” 6 Now there were six stone waterpots standing there (I)for the Jewish custom of purification, containing [b]two or three measures each. 7 Jesus *said to them, “Fill the waterpots with water.” So they filled them up to the brim. 8 And He *said to them, “Draw some out now and take it to the [c]headwaiter.” And they took it to him. 9 Now when the headwaiter tasted the water (J)which had become wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the headwaiter *called the groom, 10 and *said to him, “Every man serves the good wine first, and when the guests (K)are drunk, then he serves the poorer wine; but you have kept the good wine until now.” 11 This beginning of His [d](L)signs Jesus did in Cana of (M)Galilee, and revealed His (N)glory; and His disciples believed in Him.
12 After this He went down to (O)Capernaum, He and His (P)mother, and His (Q)brothers and His (R)disciples; and they stayed there a few days.
First Passover—Cleansing the Temple
13 (S)The Passover of the Jews was near, and Jesus (T)went up to Jerusalem. 14 (U)And within the temple grounds He found those who were selling oxen, sheep, and doves, and the money changers seated at their tables. 15 And He made a whip of [e]cords, and drove them all out of the temple area, with the sheep and the oxen; and He poured out the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables; 16 and to those who were selling (V)the doves He said, “Take these things away from here; stop making (W)My Father’s house a [f]place of business!” 17 His (X)disciples remembered that it was written: “(Y)Zeal for Your house will consume me.” 18 (Z)The Jews then said to Him, “(AA)What sign do You show us [g]as Your authority for doing these things?” 19 Jesus answered them, “(AB)Destroy this [h]temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” 20 (AC)The Jews then said, “It took (AD)forty-six years to build this [i]temple, and yet You will raise it up in three days?” 21 But He was speaking about (AE)the [j]temple of His body. 22 So when He was raised from the dead, His (AF)disciples (AG)remembered that He said this; and they believed (AH)the Scripture and the word which Jesus had spoken.
23 Now when He was in Jerusalem at (AI)the Passover, during the feast, many believed in His name as they (AJ)observed His signs which He was doing. 24 But Jesus, on His part, was not entrusting Himself to them, because (AK)He knew all people, 25 and because He did not need anyone to testify about mankind, (AL)for He Himself knew what was in mankind.

2 Pa tsiku lachitatu munali ukwati mu Kana wa ku Galileya. Amayi ake a Yesu anali komweko, 2 ndipo Yesu ndi ophunzira ake anayitanidwanso ku ukwatiwo. 3 Vinyo atatha, amayi a Yesu anati kwa Iye, “Wawathera vinyo.”

7 Yesu anati kwa antchitowo, “Dzazani madzi mʼmitsukoyi,” ndipo iwo anadzaza ndendende.
8 Ndipo Iye anatinso kwa iwo, “Tsopano tungani ndipo kaperekeni kwa mkulu waphwando.”
Iwo anachita momwemo. 9 Mkulu waphwando analawa madziwo amene anasandulika vinyo, ndipo sanazindikire kumene vinyoyo anachokera, ngakhale kuti antchito amene anatunga madziwo amadziwa. Kenaka anayitanira mkwati pambali 10 ndipo anati, “Aliyense amatulutsa vinyo wokoma kwambiri poyambirira ndipo kenaka vinyo wosakoma pamene oyitanidwa atamwa kale wambiri; koma iwe wasunga wokoma mpaka tsopano.”
11 Ichi chinali chizindikiro chodabwitsa choyamba chimene Yesu anachita ku Kana wa ku Galileya. Potero Iye anawulula ulemerero wake, ndipo ophunzira ake anamukhulupirira Iye.
Yesu Ayeretsa Nyumba ya Mulungu
12 Zitatha izi Iye anatsikira ku Kaperenawo pamodzi ndi amayi ake, abale ake ndi ophunzira ake. Iwo anakhala kumeneko masiku owerengeka.
13 Nthawi ya Paska ya Ayuda itayandikira, Yesu anapita ku Yerusalemu. 14 Mʼbwalo la Nyumba ya Mulungu Iye anapeza anthu akugulitsa ngʼombe, nkhosa ndi nkhunda ndipo ena akusintha ndalama pa matebulo. 15 Chifukwa cha zimenezi Iye anapanga chikwapu cha zingwe ndipo anatulutsa onse mʼbwalo la Nyumbayo, pamodzi ndi nkhosa ndi ngʼombe; Iye anamwaza ndalama zawo ndi kugudubuza matebulo. 16 Kwa amene amagulitsa nkhunda, Iye anati, “Tulutsani izi muno! Osasandutsa Nyumba ya Atate anga msika!”
17 Ophunzira ake anakumbukira kuti zinalembedwa kuti, “Kudzipereka kwanga ku nyumba yanu kudzandiphetsa.”
18 Kenaka Ayuda anamufunsa Yesu kuti, “Kodi mungationetse chizindikiro chodabwitsa chotani chotsimikizira ulamuliro wanu wochitira izi?”
19 Yesu anawayankha kuti, “Gwetsani Nyumba ya Mulunguyi ndipo Ine ndidzayimanganso mʼmasiku atatu.”
20 Ayuda anayankha kuti, “Zinatenga zaka makumi anayi kumanga Nyumbayi, kodi Inu mungayimange masiku atatu?” 21 Koma Nyumba ya Mulungu imene amanena linali thupi lake. 22 Iye ataukitsidwa kwa akufa, ophunzira ake anakumbukira zimene Iye ananena ndipo anakhulupirira Malemba ndi mawu amene Yesu anayankhula.
23 Tsopano Iye ali mu Yerusalemu pa phwando la Paska, anthu ambiri anaona zizindikiro zodabwitsa zimene amachita ndipo anakhulupirira dzina lake. 24 Koma Yesu sanawakhulupirire iwo, pakuti amadziwa anthu onse. 25 Iye sanafune umboni wa wina aliyense popeza amadziwa zomwe zinali mʼmitima mwa anthu.
