¹⁰Niloob ni Yahweh na magulo ang mga ito dahil sa takot nang makita ang hukbo ng Israel. Nilipol sila ng mga Israelita sa Gibeon; hinabol sila sa paglusong ng Beth-horon hanggang sa Azeka at sa Makeda. ¹¹Samantalang tumatakas sila sa paghabol ng mga Israelita, pinaulanan sila ni Yahweh ng malalaking tipak ng yelo buhat sa langit; umabot ito hanggang sa Azeka at napakaraming namatay. Mas marami pa ang namatay sa pagbagsak ng yelo kaysa tabak ng mga Israelita.

Tumigil ang Araw at ang Buwan

¹²Noong araw na ang mga Israelita'y pinagtagumpay ni Yahweh laban sa mga Amoreo, nakipag-usap si Josue kay Yahweh. Ito ang sinabi niya na naririnig ng buong bayan:

“Huminto ka, Araw, sa tapat ng Gibeon,
at ikaw rin, Buwan, sa Libis ng Ayalon.”

Joshua 10:10-12

New King James Version

¹⁰So the Lord ^(A)routed them before Israel, killed them with a great slaughter at Gibeon, chased them along the road that goes ^(B)to Beth Horon, and struck them down as far as ^(C)Azekah and Makkedah. ¹¹And it happened, as they fled before Israel and were on the descent of Beth Horon, ^(D)that the Lord cast down large hailstones from heaven on them as far as Azekah, and they died. There were more who died from the hailstones than the children of Israel killed with the sword.

¹²Then Joshua spoke to the Lord in the day when the Lord delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel:

^(E)“Sun, stand still over Gibeon;
And Moon, in the Valley of ^(F)Aijalon.”

¹⁰At ^(A)nilito sila ng Panginoon sa harap ng Israel, at kaniyang pinatay sila ng malaking pagpatay sa Gabaon, at hinabol niya sila sa daan na sampahan sa ^(B)Beth-horon, at sinaktan niya sila hanggang sa ^(C)Azeca, at sa ^(D)Maceda.

¹¹At nangyari, na habang tumatakas sa harap ng Israel samantalang sila'y nasa babaan sa Beth-horon, na binagsakan sila ng ^(E)Panginoon sa Azeca ng mga malaking bato na mula sa langit, at sila'y namatay: sila'y higit na namatayan sa pamamagitan ng mga batong granizo kay sa pinatay ng mga anak ni Israel sa pamamagitan ng tabak.

¹²Nang magkagayo'y nagsalita si Josue sa Panginoon nang araw na ibinigay ng Panginoon ang mga Amorrheo sa harap ng mga anak ni Israel; at kaniyang sinabi sa paningin ng Israel,

¹⁰The Lord threw them into confusion^(A) before Israel,^(B) so Joshua and the Israelites defeated them completely at Gibeon.^(C) Israel pursued them along the road going up to Beth Horon^(D) and cut them down all the way to Azekah^(E) and Makkedah.^(F) ¹¹As they fled before Israel on the road down from Beth Horon to Azekah, the Lord hurled large hailstones^(G) down on them,^(H) and more of them died from the hail than were killed by the swords of the Israelites.
