26 Luego Josué hizo el siguiente juramento: «Maldito sea a los ojos del Señor el que intente reconstruir la ciudad de Jericó. Sean echados los cimientos sobre su hijo mayor, y sobre su hijo menor sean puestas las puertas.»
27 El Señor ayudó a Josué, y la fama de Josué se extendió por toda la región.

26 At that time Joshua pronounced this solemn oath:(A) “Cursed(B) before the Lord is the one who undertakes to rebuild this city, Jericho:
“At the cost of his firstborn son
he will lay its foundations;
at the cost of his youngest
he will set up its gates.”(C)
27 So the Lord was with Joshua,(D) and his fame spread(E) throughout the land.
