26 Entonces Josué les hizo un juramento en aquel tiempo y dijo: «Maldito sea delante del Señor el hombre que se levante y reedifique esta ciudad de Jericó. Con la pérdida de su primogénito echará su cimiento, y con la pérdida de su hijo menor colocará sus puertas(A)». 27 El Señor estaba con Josué(B), y su fama se extendió[a] por toda la tierra(C).

26 At that time Joshua pronounced this solemn oath:(A) “Cursed(B) before the Lord is the one who undertakes to rebuild this city, Jericho:
“At the cost of his firstborn son
he will lay its foundations;
at the cost of his youngest
he will set up its gates.”(C)
27 So the Lord was with Joshua,(D) and his fame spread(E) throughout the land.
