¹⁹ Now Joshua said to Achan, “My son, I beg you, ^(A)give glory to the Lord God of Israel, ^(B)and make confession to Him, and ^(C)tell me now what you have done; do not hide it from me.”

⁵ Therefore you shall make images of your tumors and images of your rats that ^(A)ravage the land, and you shall ^(B)give glory to the God of Israel; perhaps He will ^(C)lighten^[a] His hand from you, from ^(D)your gods, and from your land.

²⁴ So they again called the man who was blind, and said to him, ^(A)“Give God the glory! ^(B)We know that this Man is a sinner.”

⁴ And I prayed to the Lord my God, and made confession, and said, “O ^(A)Lord, great and awesome God, who keeps His covenant and mercy with those who love Him, and with those who keep His commandments,

²² And Hezekiah gave encouragement to all the Levites ^(A)who taught the good knowledge of the Lord; and they ate throughout the feast seven days, offering peace offerings and ^(B)making confession to the Lord God of their fathers.

⁴³ Then Saul said to Jonathan, ^(A)“Tell me what you have done.”

And Jonathan told him, and said, ^(B)“I only tasted a little honey with the end of the rod that was in my hand. So now I must die!”

⁶ “Speak to the children of Israel: ^(A)‘When a man or woman commits any sin that men commit in unfaithfulness against the Lord, and that person is guilty, ^7 (B)then he shall confess the sin which he has committed. He shall make restitution for his trespass ^(C)in full, plus one-fifth of it, and give it to the one he has wronged.

⁹ And men were scorched with great heat, and they ^(A)blasphemed the name of God who has power over these plagues; ^(B)and they did not repent ^(C)and give Him glory.
