14 In the morning, therefore, you shall come forward tribe by tribe. The tribe that the Lord takes shall come near by clans, the clan that the Lord takes shall come near by households, and the household that the Lord takes shall come near one by one. 15 And the one who is taken as having the devoted things shall be burned with fire, together with all that he has, for having transgressed the covenant of the Lord and for having done an outrageous thing in Israel.’ ”(A)
16 So Joshua rose early in the morning and brought Israel near tribe by tribe, and the tribe of Judah was taken.

The tribe the Lord chooses(B) shall come forward clan by clan; the clan the Lord chooses shall come forward family by family; and the family the Lord chooses shall come forward man by man. 15 Whoever is caught with the devoted things(C) shall be destroyed by fire,(D) along with all that belongs to him.(E) He has violated the covenant(F) of the Lord and has done an outrageous thing in Israel!’”(G)
16 Early the next morning Joshua had Israel come forward by tribes, and Judah was chosen.

15 And it shall be, that he that is taken with the accursed thing shall be burnt with fire, he and all that he hath: because he hath transgressed the covenant of the Lord, and because he hath wrought folly in Israel.
16 So Joshua rose up early in the morning, and brought Israel by their tribes; and the tribe of Judah was taken:
